Matt Cunliffe
founderMatt Cunliffe is an award-winning Broker and General Manager/Owner of a series of Mortgage Choice offices. Of course, he’s also a Proper Management Founder. He began his foray into the world of home loans in 2004, when he began a career at ANZ Bank. In fact, within 18 months of working for ANZ, he became the youngest mortgage specialist in Australia.
Matt took this drive as an employee and ran with it to become the owner of one of Queensland’s most awarded Mortgage Brokerages. He was then recognised as Australia’s top Franchise Mortgage Brokerage in 2015, and again in 2018. Today, Matt enjoys leading a team of energetic staff at Proper Management in providing exceptional customer service and delivering a level of education to the client throughout their journey to home ownership.
This hardworking professional has also taken up a place in the OPM Program at Harvard Business School in Boston, MA. When he’s not at work or extending his studies, Matt is into fitness (especially CrossFit) and is a keen cyclist both on and off road. He unwinds by exploring his love of food and wine and following Motorsport/Sports Cars (he has a dream to race in a 911 GT3 Cup event at Mount Panorama, Bathurst). Even with all his achievements, Matt always puts family first.

cfo (chief furry officer)With my soft, curly fur and adorable puppy eyes, I bring a dash of charm and cuteness to the office every day. My breed, a mix of a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle, gives me a hypoallergenic coat, which means I’m a great fit for those with allergies. Plus, I’ve got the smarts and friendly nature that both Labradors and Poodles are famous for.
Being the young lad that I am, I bring an abundance of energy and enthusiasm to the office. Whether it’s greeting my coworkers with wagging tail and wet kisses or zooming around the office in bursts of joyful play, I’m always ready to spread some cheer. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it!
But it’s not all about playtime for me. I take my official duties seriously. I’m here to boost morale, reduce stress levels, and increase productivity. There’s something magical about having a furry friend around the office. I can sense when someone needs a break or a little pick-me-up, and I’m always ready to lend an ear (or a paw) to anyone in nee

Hanna Cunliffe
principalFinalising the journey of opening a new, boutique property agency in the form of Proper Management is one of Hanna Cunliffe’s biggest career-related achievements. However, there’s also the fact her business has been honoured as one of the top Mortgage Brokerages for Mortgage Choice (Owner/Manager) in Australia for five years running!
Naturally, Hanna has obtained her full Real Estate Licence. She’s worked previously in the Education Sector for Education Queensland and Griffith University. Incredibly personable, Hanna enjoys being able to meet and talk to people, helping them reach their financial goals and assisting them in turning their property dreams into reality.
Hanna spends most of her spare time with her family, attending CrossFit with Matt and is kept on-her-toes by their children Chase and Miller. She’d like to collect cats but for now she’ll have to make do with a shared hobby in wine collecting. Swimming with Manta Rays is on her list of ultimate must-do experiences (which is sure to happen since this is one woman who clearly puts into practice all that she sets her mind to)!
